VETS OVER-50'S

Social & Competition Tennis for Retired Players

East Croydon Kilsyth Tennis club offers both social tennis on Monday mornings and also competitive tennis on Thursday afternoon's for "veteran" members who are over-50

The Vets are very keen to encourage any over-50's who may be retired or semi-retired - and perhaps played some competitive tennis in their "younger days" -  to come along and join them for a social hit on a Monday morning...... It's a great chance to get yourself some exercise and meet some pretty interesting people too!

Some information about the Club's Vet teams follows ....  This coming season, the Club will be fielding five Men's Veterans teams in the Masters competition, played Thursday's afternoons - Sections 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5.

New vets are needed - so don't hesitate, give us a call! ...... Although quite frankly, many of the vets would say that it’s as much about the CAMARADERIE and FELLOWSHIP as it is about the tennis......
It’s  the cup of coffee, the chats around the table after the game, the tall stories and banter (particularly from club characters such as Clyde, Peter, Richie, Terry, Jerry, Cookie, Macca, Hughie, Neville, Chris and Keith) that all combine to make it such a great experience. When you join the vets, it’s like becoming part of an extended family.

A few of the vets outside the clubhouse - Keith, Nev, Steve & Brian
Some of the regulars at Vets social tennis, held on Monday mornings are (L to R) Colin, Keith, Jerry and Hugh.......

Some of the vets at the 2019 Xmas break-up. Enjoying a few drinks and  good conversation.
